The Association of Thames Yacht Clubs. This represents some 50 yacht clubs from Southend to Lechlade and lobbies on behalf of members with local authorities and government.
The Royal Yachting Association. This is the national body for all forms of boating and offers lobbying, training, technical support and advice as well as a discounted shop for members.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is the charity that saves lives at sea.

Upper Thames Yacht Club
Founded in 1934, Richmond Yacht Club is one of the oldest motor cruising clubs on the tidal Thames and has been based on Eel Pie Island since 1962.

The Club enjoys a fantastic location on Sunbury Lock Island on the River Thames, which allows for some terrific cruises both up- and down- river, and further afield.
